“Tobacco and Health: From Cells to Society” has been offered as an elective at the University of Toronto since 2003. This 13-week course provides students with a comprehensive overview of tobacco and tobacco-related issues from a public health perspective. The course focuses on patterns, determinants and health effects of tobacco use, the causes, impacts and interventions regarding nicotine addiction, and the prevention of tobacco use. There are no prerequisites.
